Summer 2019 Retrieve Course

πŸŽ‰ Woohoo! Team Sophie and Team Riley have passed the oh so complex Chair Test. This test is πŸ”‘ key to a dog having learned that “Fetch” = put mouth on db no matter where the dog’s db is located.

So, today we will work on increasing speed of the retrieve against some new, high distractions, the RoF, and working on the RoHJ.  Then, we’ll discuss when to have the SRC Graduation Party (after Christmas)  and all that good stuff.

It is now very nearly done, you have taught your dogs the Practical, Working Retrieve.  All that remains to be done with me is to finish well.

So proud of you Jeanne and Janet! ============================================================================================================= Janet & Riley Riley was slow, but completed everything. During the sequencing, she paused and listened to people coming inside the house. I corrected her and did a few extra ones.

During the chair test I did one correction when Riley went to the dumb bell under the chair, but didn't return with it. We repeated that placement.

=========================================================================================================== Jeanne and Sophie Sophie is quick to return over the jump, so it was hard sometimes for me to get the SSIF. When fetching, she consistently picks up the dumb bell on the way back.

What a fascinating journey this has been with both of youπŸ‘πŸ‘
