Lesson 7 EXAM: Retrieves against objects - heading to the ground - the Turn to SSIF + the HOLD Part 3

The point of this EXAM HOLD, Part 3 is to do this with TOUGH, deliberate distractions. Your dog MUST understand that the HOLD command is obeyed no matter what else is going on around them. So, if you don't have a flight of stairs (which I didn't have when I did this with Redd in Utah, deliberately add distractions.  I had flights of stairs in MD so Boaz's HOLD Part 3 EXAM used those stairs AND DOGS milling about as his distractions.

Did any of my dogs ever do the Stair Test or this HOLD Part 3, while moving through HIGH distractions, without a HOLD correction? Nope, not one. Every dog I've trained has dropped their item in their mouth a couple of times until they clearly understood, no matter what else is going on around them, they MUST keep the item in their mouth.
