And a blooper for your enjoyment

  1. Corbin,

First, your place is as much as a zoo as the Christenson's in SLC-:)

This is a Pass, certainly, but MAN, you missed a fabulous, perfect, TOP NOTCH opportunity to do a retrieve when Kratos was distracted by the visiting dog. Next time, use THAT moment, when Kratos is rubber necking to pronto do the Setup and REQUIRE THE DOG FOCUS ON THE JOB AT HAND - to retrieve despite a visiting dog.

Rebekah's coaching is excellent and on the 2nd to the last SSIF, you used your body to silently 'shape' Kratos into a SSIF. THAT WAS GREAT!

Now, on the Swing...Kratos is allowing you to haul him around like a sack of old potatoes. Instead, command "Swing" and use the left hand to guide the dog with leash pressure unto a proper Sit. NOW, when he goes to slop and starts to give you a lousy Sit, DO NOT HANDLE HIS REAR OR FLANK. Instead, keep the leash pressure guiding him and bump him with your left shoulder to require him to move correctly. Does that make sense?

The blooper - knew it was coming. I cracked up at the actual HOLD EXAM - oh my goodness!!!
